We fit mini split and multi split systems. We don't work on ducted air conditioning at all — not installing, not servicing, not repairing. If that's what you're after we'd point you elsewhere rather than take the job.
It's worth saying what air conditioning actually is, because the name undersells it: a modern unit is an air-to-air heat pump, so it heats as efficiently as it cools. Plenty of our customers use theirs more in October than August.

Wall-mounted mini split and multi split systems, sized and sited properly. Loft conversions, south-facing extensions and older brick homes without ductwork are where they earn their keep — the rooms that are unbearable in July and expensive to heat in January.
Siting matters as much as sizing: the outdoor unit needs airflow, sensible distance from bedroom windows and neighbours, and access for future servicing.
Annual service including filter cleaning, refrigerant checks and condensate clearance, to keep efficiency, air quality and lifespan where they should be. £180 for a mini split — one outdoor unit and one indoor. Each extra indoor unit on a multi split adds £60, and commercial jobs are quoted on the scope of the work.
Refrigerant isn't included if the system needs topping up — we'd quote that separately, and we'd want to know why it's low rather than just refilling it.
Fault diagnosis and repair for domestic and commercial systems. £240 covering the first hour, then 15-minute increments.
The refrigerant circuit runs under pressure and is covered by F-Gas handling regulations, so this isn't a job for a general handyman. Getting the electrical side wrong risks tripping the whole property.
Filter cleaning and replacement to maintain airflow, efficiency and air quality. A blocked filter makes the system work harder for less output, and it's the most common reason a unit that was fine last summer feels weak this one.
