Air Source Heat Pump Service Plans in South Yorkshire That Keep Your System Running as Designed
What’s Included in the Heat Pump Service Plan
Quick Summary: Our Air Source Heat Pump Service Plan is a single, straightforward “Service Only” tier: one annual visit from a Heat Geek trained, Gas Safe and DBS-checked engineer, paid for in easy monthly instalments so there’s no lump sum to find each year.
The plan covers a full annual service of your heat pump and its ancillary parts, plus a few extras you won’t get booking a one-off visit:
Fully qualified, fully insured, Heat Geek trained and DBS-checked engineers
Annual service reminders, so you’re never chasing the date yourself
Full external and internal checks of the unit for damage, corrosion, and leaks
External and internal clean of the unit, including the fan, fins, and clearing out debris
Buffers, volumisers, vessels, and internal units checked
Magnetic filter and system strainers cleaned
System water tested, and heating controls checked
Efficiency and SCOPs checked, so you know the system’s still performing as designed
Dedicated telephone help and support, with priority bookings over non-plan customers
10% discount on labour rates for any future work
It’s the same standard of check we build into the boiler Care Plans, just scoped to what a heat pump actually needs rather than a gas appliance.
What’s Not Included, and Why
This is a service-only plan, not breakdown cover, so it’s worth being clear on what sits outside it:
Breakdown cover for repairs to the heat pump, ancillary parts, or the wider heating and hot water system
Free call-out charges or diagnostics if something does go wrong between services
Refrigerant checks, refilling, or topping up glycol or antifreeze, even if the system needs it
That last point is the main thing that separates this from our boiler Care Plans. A boiler service plan can include topping up inhibitor as part of a routine visit; a heat pump’s refrigerant circuit is a sealed system that needs F-Gas qualified handling and proper recovery equipment, so charging or refilling it always sits outside a routine service and gets quoted separately if it’s ever needed.
How the Plan Works
The plan runs on a rolling monthly payment. Once you’ve made twelve monthly payments, your annual heat pump and ancillary parts service gets arranged for the following calendar month, so the visit is fully covered by the time it’s due. A member of our team will call you to book it in.
It’s worth being clear that this is strictly a service-only contract, not an insurance policy, and not a maintenance or repair contract. If a fault turns up outside the annual visit, that’s covered separately under Air Source Heat Pump Repair, with your 10% plan discount applying to the labour.
Signing up is simple: once you’re happy to go ahead, we’ll send you a link to set up the monthly payment, and from there you can relax knowing next year’s service is already paid for.
